Greene Baptist Church Food Pantry

Available to residents of Greene on the 1st and 3rd Thursday each month from 1:00-3:00pm.

The pantry is a partner agency with Good Shepherd Food Bank. We are authorized to distribute food to the residents of the town of Greene. A great deal of food supplied is from the The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). Through this program, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) purchases healthy foods from US farmers, growers, and producers. The Feeding America network then partners with states to connect families and individuals in need of food assistance. The program specifies the maximum income that a family may make based on the number of people in the family. As a partner agency, we must adhere to these guidelines. However, anyone in need who contacts the pantry will be given food and guidance. If they meet the federal requirements, they will be welcome to participate in our regularly scheduled pantry days.

We welcome any questions the community might have as to the operational guidelines.
